Steven Heddinger, M.D.
Dr.
Heddinger comes to Manning General Hospital on the 1st
Monday of every month.
Oncology is the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. Oncology
also involves research into cancer, its causes and its
possible cures.
Dr. Steven
Heddinger received his undergraduate degree in Pre-Medical
Studies from Notre Dame University. He went on to receive
his medical degree from the University of Iowa College of
Medicine. He completed his residency at University of Iowa
Hospital and Clinics in internal medicine. Dr. Heddinger
did a fellowship at the Medical College of Virginia in
Medical Oncology and Hematology in 2002. He is certified by
the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine
and medical oncology and hematology. Dr. Heddinger was
chosen by the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics as
Resident Teacher of the Year in 1997. He is a member of the
American Medical Association, American Society of Clinical
Oncology, and American Society of Hematology.
