Medical Staff: Family Practice/OB-GYN
Tracy L. Kahl, D.O.
Dr. Kahl received her undergraduate degree from Westmar University in LeMars, Iowa. She attended medical school at Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa, and graduated in May of 2000. Dr. Kahl completed her family practice residency at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines in June of 2003.
Dr. Kahl is board certified in Family Practice Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Iowa Medical Society.
She joined the Manning General Hospital Medical Staff in August 2003. She currently practices at the Manning Family Healthcare Clinic in Manning.
Her special interests include: women’s health and obstetrics, sports medicine, and preventive medicine for all ages.
Douglas McLaws, D.O.
Dr. McLaws returned to the clinic in June, 2011. He is board certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Practice. His experience ranges from OB to geriatrics and also includes pedriatric and adolescent medicine. His special interests include preventative medicine, vasectomy, colonoscopy, endoscopy and obstetrics.
Susan Hornback, D.O.
Prior to her medical training, Dr. Hornback practiced nursing in Des Moines hospitals. She worked in several clinical areas and has 17 years of health care experience.
Dr. Hornback completed medical school at Des Moines University. She also graduated from the Iowa Lutheran Hospital Residency Program where she was awarded the Dr. Greg Smith scholarship for compassion, competence and excellent bedside manner.
Dr. Hornback, her husband Jeff and their four children: Ben, 5; Kate, 6; Henry 7; and Lily 17, have lived in Manning for the past four years.
