Cliff Kent Boese, M.D.

Dr. Boese earned his medical degree in 1988 from the University Of South Dakota School Of Medicine in Vermillion. He completed his internship and residency at Texas A & M University – Scott and White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas. Dr. Boese completed a one-year fellowship in Adult Reconstructive and Arthritis Surgery from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Boese is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He is a member of the American Associates of Hip and Knee Surgeons and is Medical Director of The Iowa Joint Association.

His area of expertise is complex reconstructive and arthritis surgery. Dr. Boese primarily handles the total hip and reconstructive hip replacement surgeries. In addition, he treats fractures, trauma injuries, and sports medicine injuries.

Theresa Gallo, PA-C

An orthopaedic trained physician assistant, Theresa works closely with Dr. Boese and his joint replacement program. She sees all follow-up patients and assists Dr. Boese in surgery. Theresa received her medical training while serving on active duty with the U.S. Army. She received a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies in Orthopaedic Surgery from the University of Nebraska Omaha. Prior to becoming a physician assistant, Theresa was a registered nurse. She held various positions from Emergency Room Charge Nurse, to Operating Room Staff Nurse, to Hospice Clinical Coordinator. Theresa is a tremendous asset to Miller Orthopaedic’s Joint Replacement Team.

Dr. Boese and Theresa come to Manning General Hospital on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month.
