ED ARNP or PA - PRN

MRHC is seeking a PRN Emergency Department ARNP or PA. This position demonstrates professional, appropriate, effective and tactful written, verbal, and nonverbal communication with patient, families, medical staff, colleagues, vendors, and other departments throughout the continuum of care to promote continuity of care and services and enhance clinic image. They demonstrate positive, professional customer service in all patient, staff, and visitor contacts and utilize interpersonal skills to establish and maintain healthy interpersonal relationships with healthcare members, patients, and families.

This position acknowledges patients’ rights on confidentiality issues, maintains patient confidentiality at all times, and follows HIPAA guidelines and regulations. They participate in staff development activities and orientation as requested. This person proactively acts as patient advocate, responding to and working to resolve patient concerns. Must be CPR, ACLS, TNCC, NRP, PALS Certified and responsible for following equipment maintenance protocol, identifying problems, and coordinating appropriate repairs. This position is responsible for the operation of various office machines (i.e. fax, copier, phone, and computer). They are expected to participate effectively as a team member and follow prescribed guidelines relative to referral and transfer of individual patients.

Laboratory Director - $10,000 Sign-On Bonus

This position is offering a $10,000 sign-on bonus. The Lab Director manages daily operations of the clinical laboratory. Assumes accountability for ensuring the delivery of safe, high quality, cost effective services consistent with the needs of the Hospital within budgetary guidelines. Hires, trains, supervises, evaluates and disciplines staff. Coordinates all services to reflect professional clinical laboratory standards, and the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of programs. Maintains awareness of applicable laws and/or regulations affecting the laboratory and assures compliance. Promotes a positive, professional image of the department both internally and externally.

 
Educational Experience Requirements
  • Bachelors or associates degree and successful completion of an accredited Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Technician program or equivalent training, education, and experience. Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biology.
  • ASCP/NCA certification or equivalent nationally recognized Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification.
  • Previous Medical Technologist or technician experience required. Previous Laboratory Manager experience in an acute care clinical laboratory preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English with people from diverse professional, educational and lifestyle backgrounds both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to give, read and understand/follow written and verbal directions.
  • Must be able to direct the work of others while personally handling multiple tasks in a variety of situations.

RN/LPN OP Clinic Nurse

The RN/LPN OP Clinic Nurse provides direct patient care in OP hospital clinic and family practice clinic using the nursing process within the nursing scope of practice. They safely administer medication, treatments, and therapies ordered by the physician consistent with the patient’s individualized plan of care. They utilize communication techniques to elicit and share necessary information to patients, families, and members of the multidisciplinary team in a concise and objective manner. They collaborate with patients, families, physician, and other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care and appropriate patient follow-up. 

 

This position thoroughly and accurately documents patient care interventions/interactions in a timely manner with the electronic medical record. They interact in a positive, professional, and collegial manner with peers and other team members to facilitate a healthy work environment, supportive of optimal patient care delivery and employee engagement. CNA

MRHC is seeking a part-time CNA for the hospital and clinic. This position assumes responsibility and accountability for assigned patients. Provides professional nursing assistant care to these patients incorporating the environment, technical equipment, and other health care members. Provides patient care activities to patients of all ages including caring for infants, children, adults, and elderly in the care settings of acute care, skilled care, and substance abuse care units. Phlebotomist - PRN

MRHC is seeking a PRN phlebotomist to receive and process physician requests for testing. This PRN position is a great opportunity for retired individuals looking to stay involved in the work place or for students entering the medical field looking for experience in a hospital setting. High school graduate or equivalent. Prior experience is not necessary and on-the-job training will be provided.  


Job Responsibilities: 

Properly identifies patients and appropriately labels specimens per departmental and hospital standard operating procedures. Appropriately performs venipunctures using the vacutainer system, syringe method, butterflies and capillary collections from heels or fingers for testing. Educated in appropriate vein selection prior to performing venipuncture to minimize patient discomfort and ensure patient safety. Uses excellent customer service skills by greeting patient, identifying self, and explaining procedure to patients. Listens to and acknowledges patient concerns prior to performing venipuncture. 

Processes and distributes specimens to the proper laboratory area as soon as possible to maintain specimen quality. Operates laboratory information system; performs computer data entry and other clerical tasks as required. Process specimens for reference laboratory send outs. Verifies reference laboratory testing results in the laboratory information system. Collect urine drug screen specimens in accordance with federal laws. Electronic/manual charting of laboratory results to nursing floors and physician locations. Maintains a clean and appropriately stocked phlebotomy tray and work area. Assists in training new employees at the direction of the clinical laboratory director. Documents and reports variances to department director.

Recovery Center Counselor

This individual will be responsible for inpatient/outpatient programs, providing treatment and rehabilitation for chemical dependency. Thorough understanding of the disease process/concept of chemical dependency as well as primary treatment issues for substance abuse treatment is expected. Holds and maintains license/credentials as required by MRHC relative to substance abuse and addiction services and any additional State of Iowa requirements.

MRHC is seeking a full-time Housekeeper. This position assumes responsibility and accountability for deep cleaning and disinfection of assigned areas in healthcare settings. Must consider safety in all factors of work, including use of wet floor signs, proper personal protective equipment, rugs, any equipment, patients, visitors, and other staff members. Accomplishes housekeeping activities for patients of all ages involving newborns, infants, children, pregnant mothers, adults, and elderly in the care settings of acute care, skilled care, offices, and substance abuse care units.

Dietary Cook/Aide

This position is responsible for the preparation and serving of palatable meals to patients/residents of Manning Regional Healthcare Center. Maintains a steady work pace to ensure timely meal delivery while honoring likes/dislikes of individual clients/patients and serving diets as ordered. Responsible for specific cleaning duties in the food service department and for maintaining high standards of food sanitation and safety. Pre-washes pots and pans and prepares special menu items as needed as well as meals for special functions throughout the hospital.

This is a full-time position (80 hours per pay period) with Manning Regional Healthcare Center.  MRHC is an equal opportunity employer.

  • Eligible the first of the month following 30-days of hire if working more than 28 hours per week.
  • 100% of the premium paid by the employee.
  • Can select either single, employee & spouse, or family coverage – (Premiums are part of our cafeteria plan so you do not pay federal, state or FICA taxes on these premiums).
401(k) Retirement Plan
  • MRHC matches 50% up to an employee 6% contribution.
  • Employees can sign up and participate after one year of employment at MRHC – new employee enrollment is on January 1st and July 1st each year.
Section 125 Cafeteria Plan
  • Eligible the first of the month following 30-days of hire.
  • Childcare payroll deduction limitations must meet IRS guidelines.
  • Annual sign-up is January 1st of each year, and employees must sign new forms each year (Employees can change deductions during the year only if there is a change in family status).
Long Term Disability Insurance
  • All full-time employees eligible the first of the month following 30-days of hire.
  • 100% of the premium paid by MRHC.
  • 90-calendar day elimination period for coverage.
Short Term Disability Insurance
  • All full-time employees eligible the first of the month following 30-days of hire.
  • 100% of the premium paid by employee.
  • 14-calendar day elimination period for coverage.
