Physicians Clinic

The MRHC - Family Practice Clinic has trusted providers to care for the whole family. We work with you in screening, preventing and managing chronic diseases like diabetes, asthma, high blood pressure or heart disease. Our healthcare providers work as a team to provide the best possible care for you and your family. 

Appointments can be made by calling (712) 655-2072. Our clinic offers extended hours into the early evening and Saturday hours to accommodate busy schedules. Same day appointments for minor injuries or illnesses often mean you can avoid the expense of emergency department visits.

MRHC's online, secure patient portal allows you to communicate with your healthcare provider and get access to your medical record. This tool helps you better manage your care and communicate with your healthcare team.

Acute Visits on Saturday

Saturday                      8:00am - 10:00am

Wellness Clinic

Second Friday of every month from 7:30am - 8:30am

Admissions

An appointment with the MRHC - Family Practice Clinic may be scheduled by calling (712) 655-2072.

MRHC - Clinic admissions is located in the main lobby, just inside the front doors. Patients are requested to have ready upon check-in a form of identification, current proof of insurance and a co-pay, if applicable. If you have a pre-scheduled appointment for registration, it is important that you arrive on time. Patients who are more than 10 minutes late for their appointment may be asked to reschedule.

General Family Practice

Courtney joined the Manning Regional Healthcare Center - Clinic as a Certified Physician Assistant in November of 2017 and is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa. Courtney's special interests include Emergency Room care and general family practice.

Douglas McLaws, DO
General Family Practice

Dr. McLaws joined Manning Regional Healthcare Center - clinic in June of 2011 and graduated from Des Moines University in 1998. He holds an undergraduate in Biology and Business Management.  Dr. McLaws is board certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Practice. His experience ranges from geriatrics along with pediatric and adolescent medicine. He has special interest in preventative medicine and obstetrics as well as specialized training in endoscopic procedures.

Thang Luong, M.D.
General Family Practice

Dr. Luong joined MRHC in September 2018 and is a 2015 graduate of Des Moines University and is a board-certified family medicine physician; he recently completed his 36-month residency at Genesis Quad Cities Family Medicine in Davenport, Iowa. Originally from California, Dr. Luong is also a member of the Flying Samaritans which has allowed him to travel to central Mexico to provide care at a free clinic to area residents.

Dr. Luong is eager to get to know his new patients and see some familiar faces in the MRHC Clinic. He stated that he values the full spectrum practice of family medicine and enjoys spending time in the Emergency Department, which is what made the MRHC Clinic such a great fit for him.
