Mental Health Therapist

Tiffany Johnson, T-LMHC, is a Mental Health Therapist at MRHC with a strong background in ministry and youth counseling. She is trained in Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and SMART Stepfamily Therapy, and has a special interest in grief counseling, spiritual abuse recovery, and personalized support for each client. Tiffany works with individuals of all ages, with a strong connection to pre-teens, teens, and young adults.

Tiffany holds a Master of Arts in Deaconess Studies, a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, and is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Concordia University-Irvine, expected to graduate in August 2025.

Maribeth Christensen, BSW, MA, MSW, LMSW, CADC

Senior Life Solutions, Mental Health

Maribeth Christensen serves as the therapist for the Senior Life Solutions program. She provides individual and group therapy to older adults, helping patients manage depression, anxiety, grief, and other mental health concerns. She is passionate about reducing the stigma around mental health and believes in the power of connection, education, and self-care to improve quality of life.

Originally from Toronto, Canada, she holds degrees in social work and counseling and has worked in both clinical and leadership roles across community organizations and government services. Since moving to Iowa in 2021, Maribeth has served as a therapist, clinical director, and program leader in various recovery centers before joining MRHC to provide care in her adopted hometown of Manning. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time at the dog park with her pets and exploring the local community.

Colette DeMoss is a Certified Physician Assistant who joined the MRHC team in 2024. She offers virtual, mental health appointments on the first and third Monday of each month. Colette brings valuable experience in psychiatric care, having previously worked with adolescent patients at the Human Services Center in Yankton, SD. Her special interests include adult, adolescent, and child psychiatry, with a focus on ADHD management.

Colette earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS) from Northwestern College, where she distinguished herself as class President. Her academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Biology from the University of South Dakota, where she also competed as an NCAA Division I athlete.

Hollie Schechinger is a mental health provider offering counseling services in Manning three days a week. In addition to providing mental health services for the general community, Schechinger works with Recovery Center inpatient clients two days a week.

A 2009 Coon Rapids-Bayard graduate, Schechinger received a social work degree from Briar Cliff University in 2013. She received her master’s in social work with a focus in mental health and trauma from the University of Denver.
