Urology

Urology is available on the second and fourth Tuesday afternoon of every month.

Andrew E. Bourne, M.D., F.A.C.S., diagnoses and treats diseases of the urinary tract in both men and women. He also can diagnose and treat issues involving the reproductive tract in men. On top of that, Dr. Bourne is a board-certified surgeon who has passed a thorough evaluation of both professional competence and ethical fitness to be named a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). 

Common conditions in men that would warrant care from a urologist include prostate gland enlargement, erectile dysfunction, infertility, kidney stones, cancers of the bladder, kidneys, penis, testicles and adrenal and prostate glands. Common urological conditions faced by women include bladder prolapse, urinary tract infections, urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, kidney stones, cancers of the bladder, kidneys and adrenal glands.

In addition to care for adults, Dr. Bourne provides pediatric treatments as well. For children, this can include issues such as bed-wetting, undescended testicles, blockages and other problems with the urinary tract structure.

Dr. Bourne grew up in Sioux City and attended The University of Tulsa, where he earned his undergraduate degree. Dr. Bourne completed his medical degree at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. He finished his internship and residency at Southern Illinois University in Springfield, Illinois.

Dr. Bourne diagnoses and treats diseases of the urinary tract in both men and women, and pediatric patients as well. He also can diagnose and treat issues involving the reproductive tract in men.
