Clinical

Family Practice Clinic ARNP or PA

Manning Regional Healthcare Center is seeking a family practice clinic Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to perform duties relative to the management and treatment of patient injuries and illnesses. This role works closely with the medical staff to coordinate treatment plans and regimens under a collaborated practice agreement.

This person will work in the family practice clinic as scheduled and hospital units as needed, including but not limited to the MRHC Recovery Center. This position also fulfills assigned emergency room duty in response to hospital/medical staff requirements. Other responsibiliites include:

  • Complete assigned medical record requirements for medical staff.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and hospital to ensure proper treatment, referral, and regulatory requirements are followed.
  • As a supervisory-level position, the incumbent cooperates, communicates, and coordinates activities at all levels within the organization. The incumbent must work with the medical, nursing, and ancillary staff, administration, medical records, the public, and all other internal levels of supervision within the organization on matters about mid-level extender activities.

This is a full-time position (80 hours per pay period) with Manning Regional Healthcare Center.

Mental Health Therapist - $5,000 Sign-On Bonus

Manning Regional Healthcare Center is seeking a Mental Health Therapist. This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position with no weekends or holidays plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus. MRHC strives to work as a team to support the mind and body. You will work in collaboration with providers in the clinic, hospital, and Recovery Center. Must be a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) in the state of Iowa.

Job Responsibilities
  • Offer therapy to individuals, couples, and families.
  • Provide consultations to hospital and ER patients when needed.
  • Work in the Recovery Center with patients with substance abuse disorders as well as outpatient therapy to a large patient population.
  • Evaluate mental health symptoms, determine diagnoses, and create and implement treatment plans with confidential, evidence-based therapy.
  • Complete timely documentation throughout the treatment process.
  • Participate in department meetings and weekly staffing.

Ed/Inpatient ARNP

This position provides and promotes optimal patient care to the Emergency Department patients and inpatients, according to hospital standards. This role is responsible for providing care to patients during their stay at Manning Regional Healthcare Center.

Additional Duties:

  • Complete assigned medical record requirements.
  • Cooperate with the medical staff and hospital to ensure that proper treatment, referral, and regulatory requirements are followed.
  • Work with the medical, nursing, and ancillary staff, administration, medical records, the public, and all other internal levels of supervision within the organization on matters pertaining to patient care.
  • Work in an atmosphere that is autonomous, yet team oriented.

This is a full-time, night shift position (72 hours per pay period) with Manning Regional Healthcare Center.

Med Surg/Acute Care CNA - Night Shift

This position assumes responsibility and accountability for assigned patients under the supervision of professional nursing staff. The CNA role provides professional nursing assistant care to patients, incorporating the environment, technical equipment, and other health care members. They are responsible for patient care activities for all ages, including newborns, infants, children, adults, and the elderly in the acute care, skilled care, and substance abuse care units.

Essential Functions:

-Administer nursing assistant care to patients, including non-professional direct care and assistance to patients.

-Perform total hygiene and grooming, including bathing, shampooing, and nail care for patients.

-Push food carts, deliver patient trays, and assist and feed patients.

-Transport patients in wheelchairs and on gurneys.

-Transfer patients between bed and gurneys, chairs, wheelchairs, commodes, recliners, and bathtubs/showers.

-Change linens on beds and keep patient rooms clean and free of clutter.

-Apply identification to patient’s personal items

ED ARNP or PA - PRN

MRHC is seeking a PRN Emergency Department ARNP or PA. This position demonstrates professional, appropriate, effective and tactful written, verbal, and nonverbal communication with patient, families, medical staff, colleagues, vendors, and other departments throughout the continuum of care to promote continuity of care and services and enhance clinic image. They demonstrate positive, professional customer service in all patient, staff, and visitor contacts and utilize interpersonal skills to establish and maintain healthy interpersonal relationships with healthcare members, patients, and families.

This position acknowledges patients’ rights on confidentiality issues, maintains patient confidentiality at all times, and follows HIPAA guidelines and regulations. They participate in staff development activities and orientation as requested. This person proactively acts as patient advocate, responding to and working to resolve patient concerns. Must be CPR, ACLS, TNCC, NRP, PALS Certified and responsible for following equipment maintenance protocol, identifying problems, and coordinating appropriate repairs. This position is responsible for the operation of various office machines (i.e. fax, copier, phone, and computer). They are expected to participate effectively as a team member and follow prescribed guidelines relative to referral and transfer of individual patients.

Lab Tech - PRN

Obtains/collects specimens for laboratory testing, including, but not limited to, blood and urine. Initials, dates, and times all collections.  Performs venipunctures and finger sticks using an aseptic technique in accordance with hospital procedures. Ensures that specimen requirements are met at the time of collection and maintains specimen integrity.

Within scope of training, prepares specimens and performs laboratory analyses and quality control testing in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures. Recognizes test inconsistencies and takes appropriate corrective action. Calls critical test results to appropriate personnel according to established criteria.

Prepares test reports in an accurate, legible, and timely manner, initialing and dating own work performed. Performs preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment, documenting all instrument checks, problems, and corrective actions taken. Seeks assistance from appropriate laboratory personnel as needed to identify and/or resolve issues. Performs clerical tasks as applicable.

High school graduate or equivalent. Working on an associate or bachelor’s degree in applied science, chemistry, or biology. Previous medical laboratory technician experience in a clinical lab is preferred.

Radiology Tech - PRN

The radiology technologist takes pictures of the body while utilizing various imaging methods, which includes basic x-ray and computed tomography (CT). They are responsible for ensuring the patient’s safety during the course of the procedure. Technologists may be required to explain the procedure in layman terms to ensure a patient’s comfort. Most importantly, the ability to produce a high-quality image consistently is crucial, as this will help physicians to correctly provide diagnoses. This person performs other daily duties of the radiology department as directed and provides on-call coverage for radiology. 

Educational Experience Requirements
  • Associate degree from radiologic technician program required
  • ARRT certified with permit to practice in Iowa
  • CT experience preferred 
  • Radiology experience preferred

MRHC is seeking a full-time housekeeper. This position assumes responsibility and accountability for deep cleaning and disinfection of assigned areas in healthcare settings. Must consider safety in all factors of work, including use of wet floor signs, proper personal protective equipment, rugs, any equipment, patients, visitors, and other staff members.
